Overnight Summer Camp Cabin Counselor
Camp Whitcomb/Mason a co-ed camp that is part of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee. The overnight camper population is primarily inner-city youth from local Milwaukee Boys & Girls Club. Camp serves youth 7-17 overnight Monday through Friday, with most weekends free.
Counselors are the primary caregivers for each camper. The Counselor is responsible for planning, teaching, coordinating, and carrying out activities and guiding campers in their personal growth and daily living skills. The counselor is responsible for living in the cabin with the campers for the duration of their stay at camp.
Through the AmeriCorps program the position pays $3,300 for the summer. After you have completed your service with us there is a $1,600 education award which is valid for seven years after your service.
