Golf Course Intern

JOB DESCRIPTION
During this co-op, you will have the opportunity to work at one of the busiest golf facilities in the state. You will gain experience in many areas of the business; golf shop operation, outside services operation, tournament management and golf instruction. -No previous golf course operation experience required Duties consisting of but not limited to; managing outside services operation, tee sheet management, checking in golfers day to day, preparing for upcoming events, instructing and assisting youth golf programming, tending to the driving range, being an on course ambassador, providing a positive experience for all our customers and guests of the facility. Victory Links golf course is a part of the National Sports Center, the world’s largest amateur sports complex. The 600 acre campus has over 50 soccer fields, eight sheets of indoor ice, a cycling velodrome and over 100,000 feet of indoor training and meeting space. The National Sports Center has over 3 million visitors every year. Student will be overseen by Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional and other golf shop managers. Student will receive guidance and training in all areas listed above in the position description. We want individuals who are self starters. A certain degree of autonomy will be part of this position, allowing the student to explore new ideas or programs the facility could put in place. This co-op is an opportunity to experience many areas of the business, in a busy and diverse golf operation. **On site housing is included and covered by VLGC, discounted staff meals available**Start and End date is flexible

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED SKILLS
Ability to be a self starter. Motivated and eager to be active while on the job.
