Research & Valuation-Real Assets Internship
**Internship January-August 2020; 20 hours per week spring plus 40 hours per week summer. This can be a full-time Co-op if possible
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of over 30 independent real estate and macro-economic data series
- Assist in the development of quarterly reports to clients regarding portfolio composition/changes as well as real estate and capital market trends
- Assist in the drafting of Aegon Real Assets research publications
- Provide market level research support for use in evaluating real estate investments
- Misc. projects in support of capital and liquidity planning, impairment analysis, asset surveillance, portfolio risk and exposure, etc.
- Assist in providing market data/metrics utilized in property analysis for clients
Required Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled full-time at a college or university pursuing a specified degree (Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Mathematics, Computer Science or Actuarial Science).
- Internships are not available for students who have completed their college education or who will graduate prior to the conclusion of the interns
- Strong written & verbal communications skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented
- Reliable, dependable
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
This internship typically fits students studying economics, finance, or real estate. Students with other majors are welcome to apply with a brief cover letter. The ideal candidate will have strong analytic skills and an interest in economics, real estate, or investments.
This internship is a paid position. The internship requires 20 hours per week Jan 2020 – May 2020. Note: We cannot employ students as interns who will graduate prior to the internship.
