Equity and Diversity Internship
The QBP Equity and Diversity Internship is comprised of multiple interns working across different areas of the business. Interns have role-specific responsibilities within their dedicated field in addition to group activities and projects. The purpose of the program is to diversify QBP and the cycling industry by encouraging talented students who are members of underrepresented communities and identities and/or students with a demonstrated commitment towards advancing issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion to pursue careers in the bicycle industry. 
Eligible internship candidates are members of underrepresented communities and identities and/or students with a demonstrated commitment towards advancing issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion. 
 
Dates of internship: June 8-August 14, 2020
Hours: Full-time, Monday through Friday schedule

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about data analysis and excels at seeking out and connecting relational data sets. A desire to get into the details and use numbers to tell a story will make this project extremely rewarding. In this internship, you will have the support of the department to execute and act upon a project outline. Within the project scope, you will have room to be creative and determine your own direction. Strong math and analytical skills are necessary, and MS excel will be used extensively along with our business intelligence system. A sense of humor, desire to have fun and willingness to learn are characteristics that are valued by our department and we seek an individual that will contribute to our creative, fun-loving team!
 
What you will learn: 
• Perform valuable data analysis that provides critical solutions to real problems and determine strategies for success.
• Initiate long-term project(s) that have a real impact on the shape of QBP.
• Gain hands-on experience using SAP Business Objects (WEBI), Jaspersoft, SAP and Excel.
• Develop an understanding of the key aspects of the bicycle industry through research and investigating questions around product pricing, forecasting and key KPIs.
• Be a part of a team involved in procuring both proprietary and aftermarket bike and bike related parts & accessories both domestically & internationally.

What you need to succeed: 
Qualifications 
• Knowledge/Skills- MS Excel, excellent communication skills, decision making, listening, providing work direction or consultation to others
• Abilities- work effectively under pressure, respond positively to change, attention to detail
• Project management experience is a plus
• Seeking a Business Analytics, Supply Chain or related degree
• Self-starter, willing to take initiative and work effectively without close supervision
• Collaborative approach – seeks the input of peers and is comfortable responding to constructive feedback and alternate methodologies
• High attention to detail and a high personal standard of work
• Able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues
