Business Process Intern ~ Equity & Diversity Internship (Summer 2020)

Equity and Diversity Internship 
The QBP Equity and Diversity Internship is comprised of multiple interns working across different areas of the business. Interns have role-specific responsibilities within their dedicated field in addition to group activities and projects. The purpose of the program is to diversify QBP and the cycling industry by encouraging talented students who are members of underrepresented communities and identities and/or students with a demonstrated commitment towards advancing issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion to pursue careers in the bicycle industry. 
Eligible internship candidates are members of underrepresented communities and identities and/or students with a demonstrated commitment towards advancing issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion. 
 
Dates of internship: June 8-August 14, 2020
Hours: Full-time, Monday through Friday schedule

Why Join Us? 
As our Business Process Intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside the Customs Compliance team and gain an understanding of international trade in the corporate setting. Our intern will be responsible for creating a process to conduct a risk assessment of our supplier base and turn it into a consumable action plan. The ideal candidate is an energetic and passionate individual with an interest in Supply Chain or Customs Compliance and the ability to craft a process to help our team work with efficiency. 
 
What you will learn:
• An understanding of international trade processes
• Work and communicate across the organization in a professional, timely and effective manner based on QBP strategies and values
• An understanding of US Customs CTPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) program
• Gain a business understanding of risk assessment and create an updated risk assessment process, vendor survey and action plan

Qualifications 
• Self-awareness: ability to read situations, assess needs, and move to action and results
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and able to learn project management software
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Technically competent in procedure writing
• Energetic and passionate
• Flexible and adaptable with a commitment to personal growth
• High level of personal productivity, and execution skills that gather great results
• Ability to thrive in a high-performance work environment
• Ability to use a computer workstation for an extended period
