HSE Training Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in HSE training program development and responsible for the coordination and provision of technical expertise for curriculum and content development.
- Lead the development of personnel training needs assessment for determination of learning objectives, training curriculum, delivery method, and comprehension evaluation.
- Develop HSE training curricula as required based on internal Health, Safety and Environment Management System standards and requirements
- Develop HSE training plans by position and identify required HSE competencies for each position
- Plan the implementation and facilitation of activities and events, budget spending, material production and distribution, and other resources to ensure that operations are managed within authorized budget(s).
- Manage resources in compliance with internal / external requirements including qualifications, on-boarding, assessment, and / or professional development of training personnel.
- Design and oversee the delivery of learning modules using computer-based and web-based training outputs for classroom training, demonstrations, workshops, and on-the-job training plans for remote and on-site wind farm personnel.
- Consult with subject matter experts and various department heads for content accuracy and superior delivery.
- Provide coaching to content presenters (i.e. train-the-trainer) to ensure content is effectively presented.
- Maintain ALL training (HSE and P&C) curricula throughout content lifecycle, spanning content creation, internal review, and periodic enhancement.
- Develop records for completed training and provide records to P&C for record retention for each trained employee
- Manage and lead internal initiatives that focus on safety, information integrity, cost improvements, turbine performance, and increasing customer satisfaction.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
- Maintain required certifications to enable roll as instructor.
- Maintain current certificates and professional development requirements to enable roll as instructor.
- Authorized OSHA 10/30 General Industry or Construction Outreach Trainer preferred
- Ability to work cooperatively with others to obtain required information, assess needs and effectively transfer knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and Database usage required.
- Familiarity with video production and editing.
- Comfortable with public speaking and presenting.
- Experience with wind turbine maintenance, operations, and technologies highly desired.
- Must demonstrate good written and oral communication skills.
- AA or AS or degree, or related discipline with equivalent work experience.
- Certificate, courses or professional development in adult professional trade or craft learning.
- 1-5 years of HSE experience is preferred, including at least 1-3 years in a dedicated training, teaching capacity.
- Must be able and willing to TRAVEL (25% or less).
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
