Intern will report to Site Interpreters of the Education Department at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. The Education Intern will primarily be responsible for researching and developing content for our upcoming Summer Camp program for students aged K-8 and assisting Education staff with other programming-related tasks. Duties include, but are not limited to, research, writing, editing, program development, guest interaction, interpreting, and other assignments as determined. The internship includes development opportunities, such as: behinds the scenes tours, interaction with other library and museum departments, and options to learn more about ALPLM’s programs and careers.

Demonstrated proficiency in Office products. Experience writing lesson plans or developing programs for youth. Experience performing research utilizing primary and secondary sources. Applicant should be highly organized and pursuing a degree (undergraduate or graduate) in the fields of history, education, museum studies, library science, early childhood, or related.
