Salary: $320.00 to $360.00/week

Duties:
  • Instruct Trail Groups of 10-25 students on hikes/classes through the San Bernardino National Forest
  • Create lesson plans based on the CODES and CA Next Generation Science Standards curriculi
  • Lead meals, all-camp games, skit nights, campfire nights and other camp-patented activities - Instruct students in archery, rockwall, zipline, kayaking/canoeing activities
  • Maintain a balance of fun & discipline to ensure a world class experience for all guests in attendance
  • Complete other Program Dept. duties: Turnover (prepping cabins & grounds for the next group), Kitchen Team (food prep, serving, dishroom), Maintenance

Qualified Applicants will have:
  • A high school diploma & valid driver's license (required)
  • A BS/BA/AA or higher in the field of life science, biological science, physical science, parks & recreation, or equivalent combination of education & experience (highly preferred)
  • A personal commitment to Jesus Christ as your Lord & Savior, and a desire to work in a ministry dedicated to drawing youth and adults to faith
  • Biblically strong moral character, integrity & adaptability
  • Previous lesson planning, curriculum development, teaching experience
  • A demonstrated ability to instruct primary & secondary students in an outdoor education curriculum based on experiential learning principles
  • Strong leadership, communication, & time management skills; the habits of taking the initiative & self-motivation
  • The ability to navigate wilderness trails averaging 2-4 miles/day
