Description
DHHS's Kearney Youth Rehabilitation and Treatment Center, is seeking Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, and Math Teachers to work with high-acuity youth. Salary is based on the negotiated SCATA contract.
Examples of Work
These roles will oversee classes for high acuity youth ages 14-18. The courses include basic, intermediate, and/or advanced classes for Language Arts, Social Studies, or Science . Additional duties may include, but not limited to, escorting students, community projects, and collaborative projects with other faculty / staff members.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: A current Nebraska Teaching Certificate with at least a 7-12 Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, or Science endorsement.
PREFERRED: Teaching experience in a residential treatment facility or alternative classroom would be beneficial but not required.
OTHER: Candidates who can be eligible for Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, or Science endorsement before start date will also be considered.
