Financial Operations Coordinator

Tysons, VA

POSITION OVERVIEW

Alarm.com is growing! We are seeking a Financial Operations Coordinator to join our FP&A team. This role will provide administrative and operational support to ensure that we maintain and continually improve our processes and operational efficiencies as we scale at a rapid pace. This is a support role that requires acute attention to detail and the ability to multi-task. In this fast paced and challenging role, you will be the liaison between FP&A and all internal and external parties associated with the day to day support of assigned functions.

The Financial Operations Coordinator will own the organization of financial documentation and record-keeping for many items such as customer and vendor contracts and discounted pricing requests. You will work cross-functionally and collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve our processes to make them more effective. The ideal candidate will be compliance-minded with an understanding of the need for strict controls. You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy wearing many hats and multi-tasking in a dynamic, ever-changing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This role is integral to providing support to the greater team and will assist in special projects and ad hoc requests in addition to the core responsibilities of the role. The main areas of focus for this role will be:

 Pricing Operations
  • Ensures that requests for pricing changes contain the requisite amount of information and comply with established controls surrounding the requests
  • Implements pricing change requests for manager approval
  • Provides documentation and support for pricing change requests to internal and external auditors
  • Partners with individuals from other functional areas within the organization to enhance the overall governance and processes surrounding pricing management

Financial Data Management
  • Maintains an understanding of key contracts impacting pricing, such as manufacturing agreements and wireless carrier agreements
  • Maintains and updates a central database with unit level cost information
  • Assists other members of the FP&A team in using the information contained in the cost database to appropriately set and update prices and pricing policies

Sales Commission Plan Operations
  • Maintains a working knowledge of policies and controls surrounding the sales commission processes.
  • Ensures compliance with those policies and controls
  • Manages the administrative workflows associated with sales commission plan execution and intra-year updates from time to time

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-4 years of similar experience, preferably in a high-growth environment
  • Excellent written and oral skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Demonstrated ability to collect and organize data in a consumable format while processing the information in a timely and accurate manner
  • Strong project management skills including experience managing multiple projects at once
  • Must be hands-on and comfortable working independently
