Summer PhD Internship - Global Safety Surveillance and Analysis

Are you passionate about solving tough challenges? How would you like to use your analytical and problem-solving skills to find creative solutions for consumer's everyday problems? If this sounds like fun, we would love to have you join us as a Summer Intern with our Global Safety Surveillance and Analysis team!
 
You will explore data from the National Electronic Injury Surveillance System (NEISS) on products in P&G's full portfolio. You will look for trends in adverse events, specifically injuries leading to an emergency room (ER) visit, that are reported with these products.
 
This project will make valuable contributions to the businesses by enhancing our understanding of publicly available, health-related AE data for products within each category, which researchers outside of P&G routinely use for publications.
 
This work will enable better understanding of the health-related AE profiles of competitor products in the same spaces where P&G markets products!
 
 
 Requirements for the role (Skills and Experience)
 
- PhD student
 
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
 
- Ability to create data charts and graphs in Excel.
 
- Ability to communicate results effectively in writing.
 
- Ability to present findings to a group via a live presentation
 
- Experience with conducting independent and collaborative research projects.
 
- Comfortable with processing large data sets.
 
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
