Employee Comunications Intern

Quartz is seeking an intern to work closely with the Internal Communications Manager in the Human Resources department. This paid internship will offer participants the opportunity to learn important skills based on real-world experience in a fun and dynamic work environment.

The intern will participate in a variety of department activities to include, but not be limited to:
 
Internship Objectives:
  • Develop an awareness of internal communications
  • Feature writing and interviewing
  • Web page writing and content management
  • Post articles and notices to Quartz intranet
  • Interview Quartz leadership for articles and communications
  • Research alternative intranet and internal communication tools
  • Additional projects as assigned
  • Communicate results to leadership through a final presentation

The successful candidate will be responsible for adhering to company policies, work hours, and rules governing professional staff behavior.

  • Demonstrated commitment to a Human Resources or Communications career path
  • Ability to work 40 hours/week between June and August
  • Sophomore or Junior class standing preferred at time of hire
  • Effectively contributes and thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented work environment
  • Works well under pressure and is adaptable to change.
  • Presents a positive and professional image.
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Candidates will work from our office in Madison, WI. Occasional travel between other offices for team meetings and activities may be expected. We offer a professional culture built upon the values of Respect, Responsibility and Relationships.
