Project Management Intern

Quartz is seeking an intern to join our Project Management team and work closely with the Project Managers, business leaders and corporate project teams. This paid internship will offer participants the opportunity to learn important skills based on real-world experience in a fun and dynamic work environment.

Internship Objectives:
  • Observe and participate in working projects through the company life-cycle Project Tollgate Process
  • Learn and develop key project management competencies including, but not limited to,
  • Project ideations, intake, and prioritization
  • Planning and executing
  • Resource Management
  • Project closure and lessons learned
  • Work alongside project managers and support the Project Management Office department initiatives
  • Communicate results to leadership through a final presentation

The successful candidate will be responsible for adhering to company policies, work hours, and rules governing professional staff behavior.

  • Demonstrated commitment to Project Management career path
  • Ability to work 40 hours/week between June and August
  • Second-year, third-year, or upper-level class standing is preferred at time of hire
  • Effectively contributes and thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented work environment
  • Works well under pressure and is adaptable to change
  • Presents a positive and professional image
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills

Candidates will have the option to work from one of our offices in Sauk City, WI or Madison, WI. Occasional travel between other offices for team meetings and activities may be expected. Quartz offers a professional culture built upon the values of Respect, Responsibility and Relationships.
