The New York State Office of Attorney General (“OAG”) has a paid, part-time summer position available for undergraduate accounting students. The position is available in the Albany office within the Division of Criminal Justice Forensic Audit Section.

The OAG is seeking bright, dynamic, hard-working and motivated students to assist our Forensic Auditors with financial investigations. Candidates must possess excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills. Candidates must be proficient in spreadsheet, database and presentation software. Duties may include but not limited to the following: data entry; review and analysis of tax returns, bank and financial statements, as well as other items as needed relating to an investigation; and other duties as assigned. The ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team is essential.

Position Details
  • Undergraduates in their first year should wait to submit their applications until after they have received their first semester grades.
  • The OAG’s summer program will officially run from June 1 – July 24, 2020. The student hired for this position will work 15 hours/week for the 8 weeks of the program.
  • The selected candidate will be hired as a student assistant at the hourly rate of $13.86 for undergraduate students.
  • Applications will be accepted online and positions will be filled on a rolling basis.
  • Applicants must be available to meet in person or by video conference for interviews.
  • Applicants must be eligible to be employed in the U.S.
  • To be eligible, applicants must be full-time undergraduate students in good academic standing as defined by their schools.
