Around the World Traineeship Program/ Internship

The Around the World Traineeship Program is open to soon-to-be college graduates and recent college graduates looking to dive into the world of Corporate Travel Management through a five-week comprehensive training experience that develops future professionals for careers in the global business travel industry.

The ATW travel traineeship program is a once in a lifetime experience that immerses those selected for the program into the world of corporate travel management. This five-week-long global journey and professional traineeship program provides the opportunity to acquire the knowledge to enter the business travel industry while traveling to New York City, Atlanta, São Paulo, Bangalore, and Amsterdam from mid-June - July 2020. Following the traineeship, a six-month paid management associate program within the industry and the opportunity for permanent employment awaits applicants selected for the program!

What is Included?
  • Air transportation between destination cities (not including transportation from home to New York City--first program city--and transportation from Amsterdam--last program city--to home)
  • Hotel accommodations (minimum 4 star) based on double occupancy with breakfast and Wi-Fi
  • Ground transportation to/from airport, hotels, and meetings
  • Medical insurance during the traveling traineeship
  • Scheduled meetings and activities (Monday to Friday) during standard business hours at each destination with corporate travel professionals
  • Six month paid management associate program with potential opportunity for full-time permanent employment following successful completion of associate program (specific terms and conditions will be clarified in a written agreement between the internship recipient and the funding industry partner)

Applicant Qualifications
  • Professional fluency in English
  • A valid passport
  • Eligibility to obtain visas required to travel internationally
  • Must complete all classwork/assignments for Bachelor's Degree on/by 12 June 2020
  • Currently enrolled as a 4th year undergraduate and expecting to receive a bachelor’s degree on/by 12 June 2020, recent university graduate, or graduate student from an accredited university; preference will be given to students with a demonstrated interest in global business or travel/hospitality management
  • Be available and able to travel from 14 June - 24 July 2020 and accept full time employment beginning 1 August 2020 if selected.
  • Agree to terms and complete application

Travel Requirements
  • Obtain any passport or required visas
  • Arrange travel and pay for airfare from home city to New York City, and from Amsterdam to home city
  • Pay for meals and expenses outside of program inclusions
  • Arrange any leisure activities during the designated leisure time, including costs for such activities and transportation
  • Out-of-pocket expenditures are estimated at $2,500 USD (includes fees related to obtaining visas, airfare, meals and leisure activities during the five-week program)
  • Participate in the full program-included meetings and activities to support a complete learning experience
