Graphic Design Intern

Capacity Interactive (CI) helps the arts industry flourish by partnering with leading cultural institutions to help them build audiences, engage community, and market smarter.
We’re looking for Digital Marketing Interns to join the CI team.

While interning at CI, you will:
-Complete Capacity Interactive University (CIU) – the same in-depth training program we use to onboard full-time staff on the foundations of digital marketing.
-Collaborate with content services team members to produce social content assets for clients. This includes developing content using clients’ existing assets and designing original, branded content from scratch depending on the scope of work. 
-Assist content services team members in brainstorming social content ideas for clients including (but not limited to) video storyboards, creative ways to repurpose assets, etc. 
-Assist CI’s internal marketing team with video editing, animation, and other design needs for social content, as well as blog content. 
-Assist CI’s internal marketing team with the production of display ads for clients using design platforms like Google Web Designer, Sizmek, Adobe Animate, and Adobe Illustrator. 
-Assist CI’s internal marketing team with various administrative tasks related to internal content and marketing. 
-Maintain awareness of brand guidelines and uphold established creative standards.
-Other duties as assigned.

You are/have:
-A strong desire to grow, create, problem-solve, and be curious about everything you do. 
-Ability to work independently and easily collaborate with several creative team members.
-A strong eye and skill for video producing, editing, and animation.
-Strong facility with Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on Adobe Premiere and After Effects. 
-A firm understanding of core graphic design principles and execution.
-Proficiency in Google Web Designer, Adobe Animate, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML is a plus.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a desire to stay informed on new design trends and tools. 
-A passion for the arts.
Details:
We're looking for the right candidate to start as soon as possible. Interns will be paid $15 an hour and are expected to work out of our New York City office using their own laptops.  Don't have a laptop? No worries! We may be able to lend you one!
