We are hiring for a Junior Environmental Project Manager in our Hazardous, Toxic, Radiological Waste (HTRW) program. This person will work under the close guidance of managers and more senior colleagues on management of environmental cleanup and remediation projects.
 
TARGETED MAJORS INCLUDE: Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, other General Physical Science majors such as Chemistry, Biology, Physics

Salary Range:
RECENT GRADS - $43,691 to $100,756 (subject to locality & duties) GS-07 to 09. Potential for competitive promotion to GS-11/12 after meeting time-in-grade requirements.
Series: GENERAL ENGINEERING - 0801, CIVIL ENGINEER - 0810, ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER - 0819, PHYSICAL SCIENTIST - 1301, CHEMIST - 1320, GEOLOGIST - 1350, MECHANICAL ENGINEER - 0830, ARCHITECTURE - 0808

Appointment Duration: Up to 4 years, potential for non-competitive conversion to permanent
Positions.
 
Program Eligibility Requirements:
RECENT GRADS - Recent graduates who have completed, within the previous two years (veterans
may have up to 6 years), a qualifying associates, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate,
vocational or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution.

About the program:
The KC District HTRW program works projects for both DoD and non-DoD customers including active military installations, former DoD sites, EPA Superfund Sites, legacy Manhattan Project sites, and other federal agencies. We are a civilian workforce but we serve both the Military and the Public by ensuring clean water, air, and soil at the installations and neighborhoods where we work. We place a strong emphasis on service, mentorship, and individual development within our program.
