LPGA Professionals Intern - LPGA Professionals - Summer 2020

The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), headquartered in Daytona Beach, FL, is currently seeking a 2020 summer semester intern to support the LPGA Professionals department starting in June 2020. Reporting to the Manager of Programs & Events, the LPGA Professionals Intern, will assist with the coordination and marketing functions for one national LPGA Professionals Event. We are searching for an exceptional student who is comfortable working on a team and independently.

The internship will be based in Daytona Beach, Florida and the intern will be required to work full-time, Monday through Friday schedule, starting June 2020 through mid-August 2020.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Responsible for handling daily tasks pertaining to player entries, which include preparation of tournament information and materials, tracking and processing individual Championship and Pro-am registrations
  • Assist with ordering and organizing tournament supplies and equipment
  • Assist with Partnership fulfillment and recruitment for the National Championship
  • Assist with logistics for the LPGA Professionals National Championship including tournament operation functions
  • Assist with preparing Professional mailings and assist with special projects as required.
  • Assist with coordinating LPGA Professional social media communications including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube
  • Assist with rebranding items
  • Participate in special projects and assignments as requested

Job Requirements:
  • Must be a student actively enrolled in an accredited College or University (rising junior or higher, grad students can be considered as well)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Must have reliable transportation and housing in the Daytona Beach or surrounding areas
  • Flexible schedule with opportunity for occasional travel preferred
  • Must be a self-starter and a problem solver
  • Must be well organized and have a strong work ethic
  • Able to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in the golf or sports industry and/or event management is a plus
