Strategic Partnerships Intern - LPGA - Summer 2020

The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), headquartered in Daytona Beach, FL, is currently seeking a 2020 summer semester intern to support the Strategic Partnerships department starting in June 2020. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Partnerships, the Strategic Partnerships Intern, will assist with sponsorship projects that may involve some research and reporting. We are searching for an exceptional student who is comfortable working on a team and independently.

The internship will be based in Daytona Beach, Florida and the intern will be required to work a full-time Monday through Friday schedule, starting June 2020 through mid-August 2020.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Partner with department on special projects related to sponsorship analysis and reporting
  • Assist with partner events and organization of assets, interacting with various departments
  • Build sales and partner decks by presenting company information in an organized manor
  • Assist with specific sponsorship & golf industry research
  • Identify prospective sponsors in various categories and provide background information
  • Participate in brainstorming meetings for potential activation platforms and sales outreach

Job Requirements:
  • Must be a student actively enrolled in an accredited College or University (rising junior or higher, grad students can be considered as well)
  • Participate in special projects and assignments as requested
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and expertise in PowerPoint
  • Must have reliable transportation and housing in the Daytona Beach or surrounding areas
  • Must be a self-starter and a problem solver
  • Must be well organized and have a strong work ethic
  • Able to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in the golf or sports industry and/or event management is a plus
