Zoo Intern - Conservation Education

Conservation Education Interns will work with Niabi Zoo’s Curator of Conservation and Education as well as Zoo Educators to develop or further skills in public speaking and interaction. They will engage a diverse audience for a variety of on-grounds education programs as well as for the Niabi Zoo2U outreach programs. Interns will be trained how to present animal information in an interactive way as a Zoo Naturalist in front of animal habitats and for educational tours. Internships will also include experience in supervision of Junior Zoo Keepers, participate in Zoo Classes, animal behavior observation, and research projects.

Application packets may not be considered if received after the following dates for an internship during that time frame. Typically, applications are considered three months prior to the deadline. Offers may be made to candidates before the deadline. Do not wait until the deadline to send in your materials. The deadline is the last chance cut off date.
Summer Session (May-August)...................April 7
Fall Session (September-December)............August 26
Winter/Spring Session (January-April)..........December 10
