Business Assistant Intern

Under the leadership of the Volunteer & Job Readiness Coordinator of The Bridge Thrift Store, the intern will provide assistance in the specific areas of marketing, communications, business, public relations, community outreach, event planning, operational procedures, and day-to-day operations.

 Check with your school's Internship Coordinator BEFORE accepting the hiring offer to determine if this position satisfies the criteria for receiving academic credit.

 
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
 
1.    Provide operational support for The Bridge Thrift Store.
2.    Assist in developing operational procedures.
3.    Develop training guides for volunteer positions.
4.    Provide customer service as a cashier.
5.    Learn how to supervise the store floor during operational hours.
6.    Assist in the planning, scheduling, and implementation of meetings.
7.    Assist in the development and implementation of public relations/promotion/ communication/social media strategies to support program goals and increase community awareness.
8.    Assist in community outreach efforts.
9.    Other duties as assigned by the Volunteer & Job Readiness Coordinator & Store Director.
