The Company Regulation Bureau of the Iowa Insurance Division is currently recruiting individuals interested in learning all aspects of risk-focused examinations.

The Company Regulation Bureau licenses insurers that conduct business in the state of Iowa. Domestic insurers undergo on-site examinations at least once every five years. Insurance Company Examiners actively participate in all aspects of these examinations. Examiners will work in a team environment collaborating with peers throughout the exam process. The risk-focused exam involves performing analysis of insurance companies' practices and procedures in the examination of financial and related business records of domestic and resident insurers. Individuals will perform related work as required.

NOTE: Incumbents in many of these positions will be required to travel and stay out overnight. Incumbents will be required to make arrangements on their own regarding transportation to and from assigned work areas. Some positions will require statewide travel and some will travel an assigned territory within the State of Iowa. Some out of state travel may be required as assigned by the agency of employment. Selected positions may require incumbents to provide their own means of transportation in order to conduct state business
