CHILDREN AT RISK Partnership and Research VISTA
CHILDREN AT RISK serves as a catalyst for change to improve the quality of life for children through strategic research, public policy analysis, education, collaboration and advocacy. The focus of CHILDREN AT RISK is to make children's needs a priority and to ensure ample resources are available for children and their families to thrive. CHILDREN AT RISK fulfills the holistic needs of children throughout the state of Texas by focusing on four main issue areas that improve the quality of life for children. CHILDREN AT RISK aims to enhance, not duplicate, the work of other nonprofits. Through research and careful examination of where current gaps exist, the organization identified the priority issue areas of enhancing parent and family well-being, strengthening public education, ending child trafficking, and Improving child health and nutrition. The Partnership and Research VISTA will attend community meetings and events related to disaster recovery efforts and share information related to recovery work with other agencies and individuals serving the Houston area.
