Associate Scientist - Cell Biology - 165206

Team and Role Description:
As an Associate Scientist for the Cell Lab team at the largest GMP lab in North America, you will use state-of-the-art technologies to perform high-quality sample testing for key pharmaceutical clients from molecular phase 1 – commercial phases of clinical trials. As an analyst, your sample preparation, analysis, and expertise in the cellular environment serves as an integral piece in helping PPD accomplish our goal of helping bring life-changing therapies to market
 Responsibilities:
  • Possesses an understanding of laboratory procedures and under general supervision can conduct complex analysis.
  • Performs a variety of routine sample preparation and analysis procedures to quantitatively measure pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical compounds in a variety of formulations and/or biological matrices for stability and analytical testing.
  • Trains on routine operation, maintenance and theory of analytical instrumentation, SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
  • Responsible for review and compilation of results and data comparison against SOP acceptance criteria, methodology, protocol and product specifications.
This role allows you to continue your analytical testing career by providing comprehensive training on different forms of assays and GMP policy. Associate Scientists have opportunities to work flexed hours while working with different level scientists and laboratory leaders!

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification
  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable 1+ year) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory authority, compendia and ICH guidelines
  • Ability to understand and independently apply GMPs and /or GLPs to everyday work with regard to documentation and instrument use
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to perform tasks
  • Ability to independently optimize analytical methods
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Time management and project management skills
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to work in a collaborative work environment with a team
