Field Research Intern - 6 Month (Orange City, IA)
Grow what’s next. Grow your future. Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for a 6-month Field Research Intern. This position is an integral part of a team committed to product development. Several research centers house both plant breeding and trait development research activities. Sharing resources across these breeding and trait development groups facilitates more efficient integrated product development. The individual will be involved with the daily operations at their research center.
Position duration is May to December 2020.
What you can expect: Corteva Agriscience located in Orange City, Iowa since 2011 focusing on delivering the next generation of corn and soybean products to growers and we want you to be a part of our success! We are a station of 9 full-time employees (small) but span the areas of South Dakota, Nebraska, and Northern Iowa (huge) weekly throughout the growing season. Most internships today offer a paycheck, here at Orange City Corteva Agriscience, we offer $20/hour, plus employee fun benefits! What kind of fun benefits, you ask? We have times throughout the season where we will provide lunches (did someone say hamburgers?) or even get crazy and make waffles (pass the syrup)!! Our typical days starts at 7:30 am and goes until 4 pm, unless we are busy! If we are busy, we do pay overtime wages over 40 hours per week and you will receive a paycheck every two weeks!! We will train on you on each job we encounter throughout the growing season and help you on your path of prospering in your internship journey! You will be the leading role in your internship project here at Corteva Agriscience. We are a station that utilizes the latest in GPS technology, computer technology, and stuff we can’t tell you about until you are one of us!
