Summer Intern – Commercial Project Management

We are currently looking for an innovative and professional intern to join the Commercial Project Management department for a summer internship in Orlando, FL.
 
Position Overview:
The Commercial Project Management (CPM) Intern is responsible for supporting the department with executing contracts in alignment with accounting guidelines. The internship involves using communication, computer, creative thinking and analytical skills to get things done effectively. Internship includes mentorship, soft and technical skills training, and networking to learn more about the SGRE organization and wind industry.
 
Responsibilities:
•        Support semi-complex accounting/financial activities such as preparation of journal entries
•        Collaborate with commercial project managers (CPMs) to improve financial data quality in project management tracking tools
•        Opportunity to work with project management, engineers, supply chain, logistics, & financial management
•        Track project invoices & cash-in related to contractual milestones and payment terms
•        Develop and document departmental procedures for improved efficiency
•        Other responsibilities and projects assigned by manager
 
Required skills, experience, and education:
•        Pursing Bachelor or Master’s degree in an Accounting or Finance related discipline
•        Rising sophomore or junior, or rising first year grad student
•        3.0 overall GPA
•        Advanced computer skills with MS Office (EXCEL, word, power point)
•        Solid communication skills both verbal and written
•        Demonstrate innovation and forward-thinking aptitude through previous school projects, employment, or extracurricular activities
•        Experience with presenting in front of small and large groups
•        Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.

Preferred skills, experience, and education:
•        3.2+ overall GPA
•        Previous experience in an accounting or finance environment with a passion for continuous improvement
