Park Naturalist
Mount Mitchell State Park is currently seeking a qualified Park Naturalist candidates for our 2020 season. You will be expected to perform the following job duties as well as any additional tasks requested by a supervisor.
Park Naturalist
· Create and conduct educational programs centered on our unique environment
· Learn and be able to identify the wide variety of flora, fauna, and geology found in our park
· · Lead guided hikes on our beautiful trails while providing answers to any question’s visitors might have
· Facilitate school field trips for students grades K-12 that correlate to North Carolina's competency-based curriculum
· Work with our maintenance-utility staff and rangers to maintain our extensive trail system.

Qualifications: None. Previous customer service experience and recent or upcoming May 2020 graduates preferred. Must commit to working the entire season from 5/8/20 to 11/3/20.
