Special Projects Producer
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fox 6 News is looking for the next field producer of our promotable stories and stories for our long-running consumer franchise Contact 6. We are a station that does promotable stories for our 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. newscasts 52 weeks a year. These promotable stories include Contact 6 reports on issues affecting consumers and our viewers. We help our viewers in getting their problems solved. Fox 6 viewers have come to rely on Contact 6 to assist in cases of fraud, scams and consumer disputes. We have a long history of getting justice for our viewers. As part of your job you will be called on to manage the promotable story calendar. While your primary responsibility is producing Contact 6 stories, you will also be called on to produce, write and gather material for other promotable stories. This position requires someone who is organized, detail oriented, takes initiative and is a real go-getter.
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualified applicants must have a minimum of five years producing experience, either on newscasts or in field producing stories. Reporting experience is a huge plus and will be strongly considered, but this is not an on-air position. Strong storytelling and writing skills are essential.
