Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist

Help Us. Help Others. Are you looking for a job where you can make a difference? Children’s Home Society in Sioux Falls, SD is currently seeking a Full-Time Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist.

What You'll Do:
Your responsibilities as a Full-Time Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist would include:
  • Process payroll bi-weekly.
  • Maintain payroll records within the payroll system. 
  • Prepare and review payroll tax reports and year end filings. 
  • Prepare and maintain reports for the annual profit sharing audit and workers compensation audits.
  • Oversee quarterly and year-end tax reporting requirements. 
  • Calculate monthly and year end accruals. 
  • Generate standard and ad-hoc reports as requested. 
  • Process and review invoice entry. 
  • Answer questions for vendors and staff expense accounts. 
  • Manage all Agency store accounts and cards. 
  • Prepare general ledger entries. 
  • Assist with year-end tax filings as assigned. 
  • Participate in required training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Schedule: M-F, 8am-4:30pm.

Experience/Education/Skills: Bachelor’s Degree, prefer in Accounting. Previous accounting and payroll experience preferred. Must be competent in utilization of Microsoft Office products.  

Compensation: $18.00/hr + experience.
