Software Developer Summer Intern

We’re looking for a diverse group of highly talented recent graduates and final year students to apply for our paid 10-week Summer Internship. 
Duties:
2 roles:
Integrate into a Software Engineering team and learn the software development lifecycle.
This will cover experiencing and understanding how a software engineering team functions at Wiley. They will experience sprint planning, estimation, assigning tickets, code reviews, software releases, monitoring, RFCs, retros, and postmortems. Grow as a software developer.
By working with other engineers at Wiley, you will write code and receive feedback that helps you grow your software development skills. Working on tickets, ideating to solve problems, investigating and understanding existing functionality, writing tests, iterating with users, and giving and receiving code review feedback will all help to improve your skills.
 
1 role:
Our intern will work with the current Agile scrum development team in Hoboken and will have an opportunity to work with the team on development and testing tasks as part of our sprint deliverables leading up to the start of the Fall semester.
Criteria for all roles:
Should be a Computer Science major looking for a software developer position and have a knowledge and some experience with back-end development (e.g. Java, etc.)
Our ten-week summer internship runs from 8th June 2020 until 14th August 2020 
Criteria: 
The ideal candidates would be a curious problem-solver, eager to learn, and ready to pitch in wherever needed.
  •  Graduating between May 2020 and January 2021 
  • Currently be pursuing a BA or/MS/MA in a relevant subject
  • Be authorized to live and work full time in the US unrestricted after graduation. 
  • Must be able to work 40 hours week throughout the course of the 10-week summer internship in Hoboken
