UX Design Summer Intern

Summer Internship program - UX Design / Product Design
Hoboken 10 weeks full time from 8th June 2020 until 14th August 2020 
We’re looking for a diverse group of highly talented recent graduates and final year students to apply for our paid 10-week Summer Internship.
As a UX Design / Product Design intern, you will participate in and learn how UX Research and Design plays a critical role in the product development process to create validated solutions the enable our Instructor and Student users in Higher Education to teach and learn to their full potential.
Activities may include participating in user research sessions, ideation and whiteboarding, design reviews, sprint planning, participating in ux writing, ux design, prototyping, testing and more.
The intern will essentially shadow one or more team members and be have exposure to a broad set of UX processes, tasks and challenges and potentially be given some direct responsibilities as a part of the team during the internship. 
Skills experience:
  • A healthy interest in learning how UX research and design works with Product, Engineering, Marketing and Sales to deliver features to our users. Art or design background is ideal, and experience with software programming a plus.
  • The ability to be proactive and move initiatives forward without always having a clear set of instructions or steps is important.
  • A willingness to achieve and or advance the goals of the team in the most efficient way possible will help an intern be successful.
  • An active interest in learning from our users directly and translating their pain points into solutions for validation will help connect the dots.
Our ten-week summer internship runs from 8th June 2020 until 14th August 2020 
Criteria: 
The ideal candidates would be a curious problem-solver, eager to learn, and ready to pitch in wherever needed.
  •  Graduating between May 2020 and January 2021 
  • Currently be pursuing a BA or/MS/MA in a relevant subject
  • Be authorized to live and work full time in the US unrestricted after graduation. 
  • Must be able to work 40 hours week throughout the course of the 10-week summer internship in Hoboken
