User Experience Summer Intern

Summer Internship program -User Experience (Test Prep and Certification)
Hoboken 10 weeks full time from 8th June 2020 until 14th August 2020 
We’re looking for a diverse group of highly talented recent graduates and final year students to apply for our paid 10-week Summer Internship. 
  • Work with the Test Prep Platform Team to optimize platform and mobile feature prioritization through user research
  • Analyze our Student Discussion user forums to gain insights into customer pain points
  • Perform competitive analysis; report on overall eLearning UX trends and tools
  • Deep dive into our own in-house research to call out additional user insight – incorporate this feedback into new concepts for design improvements
  • Create and present various data visualizations and product concepts for tablet
  • Assist in the production of wireframes, prototypes, concept sketches, interaction designs and user flows using hand sketching, Invision, Adobe XD, whiteboard tools (within their comfort level)
  • Assist the UX Designers in creating design rationale and specifications
  • Attend Wiley training event
  • Archive and build UX library, cataloging design elements
Skills and Experience:
  • Ability to design across platforms (mobile, web, desktop, etc)
  • Understanding of what makes an experience good or bad is critical
  • A basic understanding of MS Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite a plus
  • Familiarity with human-centered design methodologies
  • A good working knowledge of interaction design (understanding technical limitations)
  • At least one example of process of developing a product (for school, hypothetical is OK)
  • Proficient in wireframing and comfortable producing concept sketches and user flows in any medium
  • Be able to create / present reports of findings and analysis
  • Strong communication skills
  • Positive attitude, collaborative yet can work independently
Our ten-week summer internship runs from 8th June 2020 until 14th August 2020 
Criteria: 
The ideal candidates would be a curious problem-solver, eager to learn, and ready to pitch in wherever needed.
  • Graduating between May 2020 and January 2021 
  • Currently be pursuing a BA or/MS/MA in a relevant subject
  • Be authorized to live and work full time in the US unrestricted after graduation. 
  • Must be able to work 40 hours week throughout the course of the 10-week summer internship in Hoboken
