User Support Specialist
This position provides comprehensive computing support and standard software training to all faculty and staff in the Department of Surgery. The incumbent will be a motivated, self-starter and a member of a team of dedicated, customer-friendly support and service professionals with responsibilities that include daily support of user desktop computing environments, consulting with faculty and staff on technology solutions, end-point deployment, and life cycle management. Basic understanding of network infrastructure and protocols and knowledge of HIPAA-mandated information security practices a plus. Our infrastructure includes a combination of Windows and Apple platforms, mobile computing platforms, custom applications, secure remote access services, A/V systems, and Novell / MicroFocus directory and endpoint management.
The environment is fast paced and leverages multiple support delivery methods, include face-to-face, telephone, Teams-based, and remote using Bomgar.
