Trader Development Program - Chicago IL

ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Trader Development Program in our downtown Chicago office supports our Oil, Gasoline, Distillates and Natural Gas Liquids businesses. Trading provides BP’s external face to the financial markets. We trade on all of the major energy commodity exchanges as well as in the OTC market. Our traders develop and execute trading strategies, manage risk, and optimize BP’s assets. Throughout our Trading program you will learn the necessary skills to gather, interpret, and act on data while monitoring risks.

DEVELOPMENT
Your Development – Trader Development Program (TDP).
Our Integrated Supply & Trading business has two offices in the United States. Our team in Chicago, IL focuses on oil and refined products and offers graduate rotation programs in disciplines including analytics, operations and trading.
Our program is a series of 1-year rotations, lasting for a total of 3-years and is designed to be:
• High energy with rigorous assessment and performance management throughout!
• Robust, giving graduates a wide exposure to our business
• Supportive, supplemented by a learning and development offer, mentor and buddy system, as well as on the job training
• Given exposure to both the Houston and Chicago offices
