Legal and Compliance Summer Associate

With over 150 associates globally, the Legal and Compliance group provides guidance and support to all areas of our business as we navigate the highly regulated industry in which we operate. Working in partnership with our businesses, our team helps to ensure compliance with laws and regulations around the globe, advising on potential areas of risk and helps to shape and implement the strategic priorities of the organization.
Our Summer Associate Program aims to provide an experience that mirrors the life of a full-time associate with respect to workload, responsibilities, and expectations. As a Summer Associate based in our Los Angeles office, you will work with other associates on meaningful projects and daily compliance work that directly supports the Legal and Compliance group, while giving you exposure to multiple areas of the business. 
What you may do:
  • Research, collect and review documents for various regulatory filings, exams, audits, etc.
  • Interact with internal business groups to obtain the necessary information.
  • Participate in various ad hoc projects, such as process developments and improvements and review of policies and procedures.
  • Work with other internal business groups to implement necessary changes in controls/processes to meet the demands of our ever-changing business needs globally.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned as business needs will ultimately drive the important work that you will contribute to.
Who we're looking for:
  • You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree, in junior or senior standing or a Graduate degree.
  • You have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • You have an interest in pursuing a career in financial services.
  • You have demonstrated leadership in extra-curricular activities.
  • You express ideas effectively and interact professionally with others.
  • You are a continuous learner, with intellectual curiosity and hunger for knowledge.
  • You are highly collaborative.
