Internship: Web UI Development

THE POSITION
The Hennepin County Information Technology (IT) Department is seeking a student currently enrolled in an undergraduate program to participate in a part-time IT Enterprise Development internship.

About this internship:
This position is a limited duration, temporary, non-benefit earning internship.

Location and hours:
This intern will work approximately 20 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. from May through August 2020 with the possibility of extending the internship on a case-by-case basis. This opportunity is located at the Government Center 300 South 6th Street, Minneapolis 55487.

In this internship, you will: 
  • Work with other developers to create and enhance web-based user interfaces for internally and externally facing applications.
  • Edit and create web pages and forms using HTML and CSS.
  • Work with other developers on a team to create the user interface for internal and external applications.
  • Participate in development project and team meetings.
Need to have:
  • Current enrollment in an associate or bachelor's degree program in software development, computer science, data analytics, database administration or a related field.
Nice to have:
  • HTML/CSS experience is preferred (school or professional experience are both acceptable).
  • Angular/Bootstrap experience is desirable (school or professional experience are both acceptable).
  • Experience with C#, .Net, .Net CORE.
  • Experience editing or creating complex SQL queries.
  • Understanding of business analysis skills, business administration classes.
