Summer Internship: IT - Hennepin Justice Integration Program

The Hennepin County Justice Integration Program (HJIP) is seeking a student currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program to participate in a part-time IT internship analyzing and refining support processes within public safety.

Location and hours:
This intern will work part-time (approximately 20 - 30 hours per week) from May 2020 through August 2020. This position is located at 701 4th Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55415.

About this internship:
This position is a limited duration, temporary, non-benefit earning internship.
 
In this internship, you will:
  • Under supervision and with engagement from team, review support logs and recommend relevant content that should be brought over into a new ticketing system.
  • Assist in drafting knowledge articles.
  • Help draft knowledge articles.
  • Manage the process of editing the documents and creating a library in a SharePoint site.
  • Manage the tagging of content.
  • Assist in the creation of online training videos for HJIP applications.
Need to have:
  • Current enrollment in an associates, bachelor's, or master's degree program in management information systems (MIS), information assurance, technical communications, information technology, or a related field.
Nice to have:
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • High level knowledge of IT infrastructure and platforms
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft tools
  • SharePoint experience is a plus
