Student Trainee (Physical Science)

About the Position: You will serve as a Student Trainee (Physical Science) Intern, responsible for performing a variety of routine duties to broaden skills and provide practical experience for progressively more complex assignments related to scientific principles and theories of geology.

Responsibilities

  • Pathways Internship positions provide for development and training. Assignments become more responsible as incumbent increases knowledge and skills through work experience and academic training. Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Apply basic knowledge on the collection, measurement, analysis, evaluation and interpretation of geologic information during onsite visits to field locations.
  • Perform in office duties such as data collection and creating reports and other types of correspondence for review by senior staff.
  • Assist higher graded employees, individually or as a team member, by performing duties as they relate to the professional discipline.
