Deputy Administrator of Banking

Bring your management excellence and financial background to the Department of Financial Institutions as the new Deputy Administrator of Banking!
This position provides leadership to the Division of Banking and manages the Division programs and business operations.
This position provides direct supervision to a combination of Bureau Directors, Financial Examiner Supervisors, and advanced level specialized professional and technical staff. The position is responsible for managing the division programs and operations and development and monitoring program performance measures and indicators. Further, this position provides strategic direction and planning and oversees the developing of proposed law changes and new and revised administrative rules and changes in division policy.
Additional responsibilities include overseeing management of programs related to provision of new laws and regulations and assisting DFI Management with integration of banking programs, services, and needs into department-wide planning initiatives.
The Division of Banking regulates and supervises state chartered banks, savings institutions and consumer financial service industries. In addition to chartering and regularly examining state banks and savings institutions, the division licenses loan companies, mortgage bankers, mortgage brokers, loan originators, collection agencies, community currency exchanges, sales finance companies, adjustment service companies, sellers of checks, insurance premium finance companies, and payday lenders. It also regulates motor vehicle dealers and recreational vehicle dealers that originate retail installment sales contracts and consumer leases. This position is in pay schedule-range 81-01 with a salary of $64,126-$104,000 annually, plus excellent benefits. A twenty-four month Career Executive Trial Period will be required. Pay for current state employees or those with reinstatement eligibility will be set in accordance with the current Wisconsin Compensation Plan.
