Communications Specialist

The Communications Specialist is responsible for writing thoughtful, concise, action-driven copy for inbound marketing and lead generation, client acquisition, and client retention efforts. Content channels include corporate and product websites, high-converting landing pages, blogs, display and social advertising platforms, email nurture streams, video scripts, digital and print collateral, downloadables such as e-books, guides and infographics, event presentations, direct mail, company signage, and more.
The Communications Specialist will be a part of an exciting push to grow Thryv’s brand awareness, recognition and resonance in the U.S. This role will become the subject matter expert on any topic, able to quickly research, verify facts and interview product specialists and resident Thryv gurus to develop fresh, exciting content.

Create valuable content for a variety of channels, with an emphasis on digital and the Thryv blog. Ensure every piece of content published is on-brand, on-voice, optimized for search, and formatted for a user-friendly experience.
Support lead generation team to fuel growth of leads, free trial, and buy online channels. Write compelling, action-driven copy for display and social ads, landing pages, email nurture streams, and more.
Utilize analytics and metrics to make quick adjustments to content across channels.
Collaborate with product, go to market, client acquisition, and affiliate teams to ensure consistency in message, writing style, brand voice, and tone across all communications channels.
Craft high-value content that can be repurposed throughout these channels as part of well-rounded content campaigns.
 
Requirements:
• 3-5 years experience
• Strong working knowledge of writing to AP style standards
• Able to write clear, compelling, concise and grammatically correct copy
• Experience in copywriting, content development, proofreading and editing
• Experience in writing successful ad copy and high-converting calls to action
• Understanding of emotional marketing and pain-point selling
• Understanding of how to write for various target markets and demographics
• Highly creative and imaginative
• Works well in a team and with a range of creative people
• Able to work under pressure and manage workloads effectively
• Highly self-motivated and well organized
• SaaS or B2B content marketing and writing experience
• Search engine optimization (SEO)
• Basic HTML/CSS
• WordPress
• Google and/or Adobe analytics
• Adobe Creative Cloud and an eye for brand and design
• Digital marketing experience is required for this position
