Fundraising Summer Intern (Remote)
We’re looking for an Individual Giving intern to join our fundraising team for the summer. In this role, you will help increase AsylumConnect’s individual donor base through growing membership in our Annual Giving Club, identifying relevant Giving Circles, and assisting with the implementation of a new project focused on engaging grassroots donors across the country. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in fundraising, donor relations, and marketing.
Responsibilities
- Research and implement ways to grow our Annual Giving Club membership.
- Implement creative ways to spread the word and optimize participation in our new grassroots fundraising project.
- Research and draft initial written materials for relevant Giving Circle opportunities.
- Assist with donor prospect research, outreach and retention.
- Additional ad hoc fundraising tasks, as needed.
Qualifications
- Obtained or pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in nonprofit management, business, sales, marketing, or a related field.
- Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations unique to the nonprofit sector.
- Excellent writer.
- Comfortable with online communication tools (Slack, Asana, G Suite).
- Strong interest in AsylumConnect, and LGBTQ+ and immigrant rights.
We’re looking for summer interns to join us from June – August 2020, with a commitment of 15-30 hours per week, Monday – Friday. *Note: This internship is remote and unpaid.
