Conservation Programs Summer Intern

The primary task of the conservation programs intern is to write grant proposals to fund land protection. They will also focus on programmatic research and outreach for INHF’s trail, grant and volunteer programs. The conservation programs intern works in Salesforce to track grants and volunteer events. He or she may also write posts for the INHF blog, visit INHF properties and provide other general program support. In addition to these duties, we encourage candidates to create a personal project they can share with staff at the end of their internship. This internship introduces interns to many leading members of Iowa's conservation community.

Conservation programs interns have helped write successful grants for additions to Waterman Prairie Complex and the protection of the Loess Hills, Upper Iowa River and Wabash Trace Nature Trail. Interns have also assisted with planning INHF events and have written for the INHF blog.
