Equestrian Director

Camp Cheerio is seeking an energetic, hard working, dedicated person to join it’s Full Time Staff Team. The right candidate will take over an established riding program and provide leadership and expertise to take it to the next level. Camp Cheerio is a premier resident camp located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, serving 3000 children each summer and various groups and schools in the Fall and Spring. Cheerio owns 22 horses and provides summer instruction in Western and English riding, as well as riding experiences to retreat guests in the Fall and Spring. In addition, the Equestrian Director helps hire camp staff, manage all aspects of the Equestrian Program and perform other duties as needed. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience teaching lessons, time spent at resident camp, and a bachelor’s degree or working toward a bachelor’s degree is preferred. Camp Cheerio is a resident camp, so qualified candidates must commit to living at Camp in the summer months in Camp Cheerio provided housing.

Salary is 37,000 - 45,000 based on experience.
