Summer 2020 Intelligence Internship - DC HSEMA

Paid Internship Opportunity – Intelligence - National Capital Region Threat Intelligence Consortium
Duration of Internship: May 18 - August 14, 2020

The National Capital Region Threat Intelligence Consortium (NTIC) is the District of Columbia’s fusion center. The fusion center is responsible for the receipt, analysis, and sharing of threat-related information between local, federal, and private sector partners. NTIC interns have an opportunity to help us collect and analyze data, work with stakeholders, write intelligence products, and provide briefings on the threat environment

HSEMA is seeking highly-skilled and enthusiastic graduate and undergraduate students interested in careers in homeland security and emergency management. Interns are exposed to a unique and dynamic environment showcasing governmental and nongovernmental coordination. In the past, interns had the opportunity to work alongside local, state, and federal partners on coordinated events in the District. Interns attend large-scale exercises and events with public and private partners to expand their network, grow as professionals, and have the experience of a lifetime. Successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate professionalism, timeliness, effective communication, and enthusiasm for learning. Accepted interns will work 30 hours per week during the Summer session.


Internship Eligibility and Requirements

HSEMA is looking for highly-skilled graduate and undergraduate students currently enrolled, who are in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 2.5 at a U.S. college or university. Enrollment must be supported by a transcript or an official letter from school administration. It cannot be a letter from a professor.
