Psychology Intern

Thank you for your interest in an internship with Psychological Consultation Services (Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services) at the Pella Clinic! We are proud to offer an advanced, hands on, and experiential internship to upper class undergraduate psychology, sociology, and social services majors. During this internship, you will administer and score a variety of psychological tests assessing a variety of psychological problems including intellectual disability, ADHD, mood disorders, personality disorders, and learning disorders. You will have the opportunity to work directly with clients and be able to begin to develop diagnostic skills, interpretation skills, and report writing skills. Your availability on either Thursday from 1-4 or Friday from 8-12 is essential to working with PCS Pine Rest.

Requirements:

Junior or senior standing is preferred. 3.0 GPA or above is preferred. Must be an undergraduate student, live or attend school in the Pella IA area and be available on either Thursday from 1-4pm or Fridays from 8A-12P. This is an unpaid 4-6 hour per week internship. In addition to completing online application, cover letter, resume, and two professional letters of recommendation must be submitted. Hiring cycle is as follows: Fall semester applications due by May 1. Spring semester applications due by October 1. Summer applications due by April 1. Date may be subject to change.
