AudioVisual Archivist Intern
The Audiovisual Archivist Intern will work closely with the archivist volunteers to categorize, catalog, and process materials for our historical audio and visual collection.
Responsibilities:
• Processing the audiovisual collection, including physical arrangement (sorting, boxing, and labeling)
• Inventorying and describing of materials using PastPerfect and other software
• Creating collection guides and other basic finding aids
• May assist with preparing exhibits
• May help to create historical pieces for marketing purposes
• Demonstrate dependability, honesty, credibility, and resourcefulness; ability to work with council information
• Be guided in all actions by the Girl Scout Mission, Promise, and Law
• Other duties as assigned to promote the successful implementation of GSNEO’s goals/objectives
Requirements
• Enrolled at a local college or university with a GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Familiar with Microsoft Office tools
• Professional demeanor; comfortable working with staff to follow-up on requests
• Strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize while working on competing projects
• Comfortable working independently as well as with a team
• Willing to learn preservation techniques and cataloging software
