Marketing Specialist

Description of Job: This position contributes to the attainment of the Biorational Crop Protection (BCP) business unit goals of customer service and order fulfillment; while keeping track of the BCP financial plan Latest Best Estimate (LBE) and Short Range Plan (SRP) risks and opportunities. Furthermore, this position coordinates the Biorational Crop Protection (BCP) Pipeline Review Process schedule; generates relevant market intelligence for current and future offerings, and supports the day to day market-facing, tactical needs of the BCP business.

Principal Responsibilities:
a. Tactical Product Management
  • SKU Phase-In/Phase-Out. Execute the SKU phase in/phase out plans as well as SKU optimization initiatives (including formulation, label and package requirements, etc.) collaboratively with the GBM and RMMs.    
  • Corrective Actions. Monitor, analyze and propose corrective action to keep a smooth and timely order fulfillment process. (shared with other roles) 
b. Financial Plan Risks and Opportunities
  • Analysis and constant upkeep of the affiliate Last Best Estimate (LBE) & Short Range Plans (SRP) and Medium Range Plans (MRP).   
c. Product Life Cycle Management and Pipeline
  • Pipeline Review Process. Coordinate the Pipeline and Product Life Cycle Management (PLCM) schedule for the business.  
  • Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis. Keep the most updated and relevant competitive information for current and future offerings (including licensing and acquisition efforts). Perform market research on the appropriate competitive set for relevant markets, macro and local trends, voice of the customer, key performance indicators, etc. 
d. Supporting Market Facing Activities for the business such as: 
  • Coordinate VIP tours for affiliate customers.    
  • Coordinate and update presentations, marketing communications materials, etc. 
  • Coordinate marketing meetings and initiatives, including market research and voice of the customer efforts.

  • Robustness of business assumptions that underpin business plans 
  • Product Delivery Performance (shared with other functions)

Experience: Should be able to develop effective relationships and operate with senior executives. Effective leadership, time management and organizational skills. Experience/ knowledge in an agriculture related field.  
Strong business acumen, analytical, problem solving, data manipulation and management skills. Should be able to contribute to planning and strategic thinking. Exceptional written as well as verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint a must)
One or more of the following is a plus:
  • Experience using agricultural market information databases. 
  • Knowledge/experience with project management. 
  • Experience with business reporting through Microsoft Power BI and/or Tableau.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.

Travel: As required.
