Research and Development Section Head – Emulsions Platform

Responsible for the global development and qualification of the 2-10-year Global Emulsions Platform that has $1B business potential. This role will include managing Products Research, Formulation, Process and Technology. This person will be responsible for creating and qualifying the global innovation program behind this new transformative innovation platform covering both Whitening and Health, serving the world. They will have 3, Band 3 Technical partners and 5 direct reports to start. The organizational vision includes expanding this role to cover both leave-on emulsions and whitening paste within 6 to 12 months, expanding direct reports to 7 -10.
If you want to join us, you will need:
    * A BS or MS in engineering. We prefer Chemical, but we also consider other, similar engineering degrees
We are also looking for someone who has:
    * Leadership – The ability to create a vision for the new platform technology and enroll peers and direct reports in delivering on that vision. Ability to create a very strong culture within the work group, with an emphasis on single team mentality.     * Collaboration – Ability to work well across R&D capabilities and Functions, with a particular focus on Marketing and Product Supply.
    * Technical Depth – The ability to uncover consumer insights and translate them into product requirements and big and obvious ideas. This role will have strong T partners in Process, Formulation and Technology. The ability to quickly learn the platform technology and industry regulations.
    * Influence – Strong verbal and written communication. Ability to influence peers and Sr Leaders for strategic platform direction and risk management. Show willingness to be influenced.
    * Risk Taking – Ability to manage risks that enable project teams to be successful.
    * Business Acumen – Proven ability to understand business models and how R&D drives overall category success.
    * Positivity – Someone who acknowledges challenges and issues but is focused on solving them and moving forward. Has a positive impact on others.
