Seed Regulatory Specialist will support a leader in AgScience by working within the Seed Regulatory Group. 

Seed Regulatory Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Receive, process, and distribute incoming seed and seed materials from various locations for Regulatory and other groups as requested. Label, organize and inventory seed in long-term storage so that seed can be quickly and accurately identified and retrieved. 
  • Identifies issues found with seed during handling that may affect study outcome and communicates those issues to the appropriate manager. 
  • Assist with grain diet prep work, which may include weighing out ingredients, mixing, packing, sampling and shipping diets to outside contractors for Seeds Regulatory Science (SRS) animal feeding studies including the use of specific equipment and instruments. 
  • Assist with receiving of bulk grain lots, which includes recording the weights of each container, taking grain samples and testing moisture.
  • Assist with cleaning, performing particle size, and grinding of grain samples. 
  • Supports other various functional groups within the SRS Department to ensure that critical operating tasks can be completed within their given deadlines.
  • Assist with verifying that study documentation is correct and complete, and GLP (Good Laboratory Practices)-compliant as needed. With training and demonstrated performance, ability to lead and manage specific functions as described above. Follow safety policies, protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.

Seed Regulatory Specialist Qualifications:
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast pace environment with quickly changing priorities. 
  • Knowledge in genetics and/or agronomy is an asset. 
  • Required to do physical lifting (up to 50 lbs), stand for long periods at a time and work in varying ergonomic environments.
  • Valid Iowa driver’s license to transport and pick up seed and grain between various seed storage locations.
