Data Scientist Intern
Data Scientist Intern works directly with a team of analytics and data science professionals including analysts, clinicians, auditors and innovators to deliver analytical, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence solutions to turn data into information and serve better decision making.
Principal Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
- Define and develop analytical, statistical and machine learning algorithms for advanced analysis and prediction.
- Design, build and integrate solutions using Python, Spark, R etc.
- Work with other team members to review design and code for adherence to established standards and best practices.
- Maintain our repository and other relevant documentation.
- Completes all ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science; Masters or Ph.D. preferred
- Minimum 1 year’ experience in advanced analytics, Machine Learning modeling
- Ability to work independently as well as a member of a collaborative team
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Spark et al;
- Proficiency in at least one statistical modeling program like R or SAS.
- Understanding of machine learning, artificial intelligence and/or artificial neural networks.
- Proficiency in applying various mathematical and statistical models to include, but not limited to: image analytics, text analytics
